Recommended Places to Visit
Visit Cascadas de Tamasopo, which has numerous waterfalls and excellent scenery. Take the back road from there and paddle through small villages instead of cycling back to the Highway. Then go to Puente de Dios, which charges only 30 pesos. You can visit Cascada de Tamul next.
Try to avoid paddling in the highway of Santa Anita, as the route which leads to the waterfall is very dirty. Other roads are cleaner and beautiful, having sugar cane fields and almost zero traffic. Another fantastic place is Tanchachín, where you can see waterfalls and cross them by boat.
Always start the journey in the morning to get a lot of time to paddle, swim, take pictures, eat, and others before the darl comes. You will find many places to camp. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen as you have to endure severe heat during day-time cycling.
